Kid's Club

Kids Club is a fun, structured weekly chess club where students can learn, play, and improve alongside other young chess players.

Each two-hour meeting begins with chess warmups and activities, followed by approximately 30 minutes of group instruction focused on developing tactical, strategic, and practical playing skills. Students then enjoy a pizza party before putting what they've learned into practice in a US Chess-rated G/25 d5 game. Players also have opportunities to review and analyze their games with a coach.

Kids Club is open to a range of skill levels, from developing players to experienced scholastic competitors. Instruction and activities are adjusted based on the students participating each week.

US Chess membership is required to participate in the rated games.
