Tournament Team

Tournament Team is a focused training group for dedicated scholastic players who are actively competing—or ready to begin competing—and want to sharpen their skills in a structured, supportive environment.

Weekly two-hour sessions are designed to help students improve their tournament performance through:

• Multi-step tactics and calculation
  
• Master game analysis
  
• Advanced endgames
  
• Opening and tournament preparation
  
• Analysis of students' tournament games
  
• Practical tournament strategy and decision-making
  

Players are expected to compete in at least one tournament per month so they can put what they learn into practice and bring their tournament experiences back to the group.

What's Included

• Weekly 2-hour Tournament Team training sessions
  
• One free Growth Chess Scholastic Tournament entry per month OR 50% off one Growth Chess Open tournament per month
  
• Training alongside other motivated tournament players
  
• Curriculum designed around preparing for and improving in tournament chess
  

Schedule: Sundays, 5:00–7:00 PM

Tuition Options

• October
  
• Fall — Get 1 class FREE
  
• Full School Year — Get 3 classes FREE
  

Tournament Team does not meet on select Sundays due to major scholastic tournaments and holiday weekends. Students are encouraged to compete in those major events when appropriate.
